The EmpiriStat Boot Camp Experience; Are you up for the challenge?

EmpiriStat is proud to announce their new “Boot Camp Training Series”. With this new training initiative, EmpiriStat embarks on the next phase in the continuing campaign to educate the clinical research community. The company, headed by President and Principal Biostatistician Dr. Nicole C. Close has always believed in ‘stepping up to the plate’ and doing their part to further encourage uniformity, knowledge and continued education among clinical trialists.
The Boot Camp Training Series is an intensive battery of courses designed at different levels (Series 100, 200, 300 and 400) to immerse the professional in all facets of clinical research from Clinical Trials to Epidemiology. The Series is suited for many different applications, including pharmaceutical, academic, government, and military research.
Dr. Close is almost as well-known for her training sessions, as she is for her Biostatistical and Project Management prowess. Feedback from her presentations at this year’s MAGI conference in Boston, Massachusetts speaks to Dr. Close’s success. Out of 180 presentations, Nicole’s “Biostatistics for Mere Mortals” session was rated second-best at the conference by her peers. One participant observed that, “Dr. Close was excellent. (She) provided a great overview and applicability to various types of protocols.” Another attendee added that, “(Dr. Close) kept the group motivated and engaged!”
The EmpiriStat Boot Camp Training Series is best utilized in-full, but can be tailored to fit the professional’s needs and goals. EmpiriStat strives for flexibility in a challenging, time-conscious environment, without sacrificing the integrity of the training format. EmpiriStat is an international company and is equipped to provide courses onsite or at an arranged central location, and also at Investigator Kick-Off meetings.
Course Areas include, but are not limited to:
·         Epidemiology
·         Clinical Trials
·         Clinical Data Management
·         Statistics for Non-Statisticians
·         Safety
·         Regulatory Affairs
·         Site Management and Clinical Monitoring
·         Special Topic Areas
At the beginning of each course, each participant will receive a course materials binder, handouts and references. Upon the conclusion, a training certificate will be awarded to every participant.
