The EmpiriStat Team Welcomes Their First Soccer Player and Fan

Heavily dominated by EmpiriStat’s owner’s love of football and her Steelers, it is refreshing to bring a new sport to talk about to EmpiriStat: soccer! EmpiriStat, Inc. is pleased to welcome statistician Dr. Alfred Mbah to the EmpiriStat team. Dr. Mbah brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge, and will add even more value to the services provided to EmpiriStat's partners.

Dr. Mbah, a native of Cameroon (West Africa), attended University studies in Nigeria, where he earned his Master's degree in Mathematics in 1997. In 2000, he earned a scholarship to study Biostatistics at Hasselt University in Belgium where he graduated with a Master's degree in 2002. That same year, Alfred started a PhD program in Statistics at the University of South Florida, Tampa, eventually earning his degree in September 2007. It was also in 2007 that Alfred was recruited as a Biostatistician for a small contract research organization where he worked until December 2014.

Alfred says he was drawn to EmpiriStat because, "it has the same dynamics that my previous job once had before their goals changed - changes that eventually led to my resignation. There, I had a single boss who was very intelligent and knew what she was doing. That is the same with EmpiriStat, evident from when I first talked with Nicole."

Professionally, Alfred said he looks forward to contributing to the growth of EmpiriStat by increasing his performance metrics, which he said, "will help show the value that I bring as an employee to the company and might earn me a promotion to management position, a personal goal of mine."

In his free time, Alfred enjoys watching movies with his wife Doris and their two beautiful girls, ages 3 and 1. He is also an avid soccer fan and player, fitting in perfectly with EmpiriStat's motto "Work hard, play hard!"

Welcome, Dr. Mbah!
